Lakeline location Hiring Part-Time to Full-Time Pharmacy Tech (28-32 hrs/week)

Peoples Rx is a locally-owned, holistic compounding pharmacy that has served the Austin community and been a beloved Austin icon for over 40 years. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with our progressive, world-class pharmacists to provide personalized service to each customer.

The ideal candidate has the ability to process a variety of prescriptions in a fast-paced, retail environment and maintains a positive attitude with fellow team members. Our Pharmacy Technicians work promptly, safely and accurately to fill patient prescriptions all while providing a unique customer experience.

Requirements:

*This is an in person role. Candidates must reside in the greater Austin area.*

• Must be current TSBP license holder (Technician or Trainee)
• Extraordinary customer service
• Excellent and efficient data entry skills
• Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology
• Six months to one year retail pharmacy experience
• Flexible schedule, alternating nights and weekends
• Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 8 hours

Responsibilities:

• Receive written and electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate
• Enter and maintain prescription data using pharmacy software system
• Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
• Contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information and initiate refill requests
• Specialize in the resolution of prescription insurance claims
• Assist the pharmacist with packaging medications and affixing proper labels
• Maintain the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay rate from $16.50 - $21.00 (Starting rate of pay is based on experience + certification level)
