Pharmacy Technician – located within a North Austin corporate campus
Peoples Rx, a locally owned pharmacy serving Austin for over 40 years, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a unique role located within a professional corporate wellness campus in North Austin.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a more structured, team-oriented healthcare environment that offers a predictable weekday schedule and a more balanced pace compared to traditional retail pharmacy settings.
As part of this collaborative care environment, you’ll work alongside pharmacists as well as a broader healthcare team that may include nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, and other wellness professionals—providing a more integrated and personalized patient experience.
Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends)

The ideal candidate has the ability to process a variety of prescriptions efficiently while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude. This is a hands-on role where Pharmacy Technicians are expected to work promptly, safely, and accurately while supporting a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements:
Must have current Pharmacy Technician license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Extraordinary customer service
Excellent and efficient data entry skills
Knowledge of pharmacy and relevant terminology
One year pharmacy experience preferred
Able to lift up to 30+ lbs and stand for 8 hours
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome all customers- get to know our visitors on a first name basis!
Operate point-of-sale system, as well as ensure prescription sales meet patient counseling and regulatory compliance standards
Receive written and electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate
Enter and maintain prescription data using pharmacy software system
Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions
Contact doctor’s offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information and initiate refill requests
Specialize in the resolution of prescription insurance claims
Assist the pharmacist with packaging medications and affixing proper labels
Maintain the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed
